Inside Out

A storm was coming last night so I ran out in the garden and brought in the crop for the day.  Though I hated taking it out of the garden, it worked out well in that this was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning.

It's been coming up close to 2 years since I've done a painting.  That is too long and now that the time is here to get back to it, I clearly feel overwhelmed.  One nice thing is that I've been given a drawing I'm excited about and that often helps build it's own movement.

The Big Finish

Here is a fresh off the desk finish.  It's a little honeycomb with think pockets and a great morning prayer.  The lime background finish kept me awake this afternoon.  I will be offering prints of it in my Etsy shop in a bit.  On to the next project....

In the garden

The faces I found in the garden this morning sure do make waking up easier.

Still at it!

Whenever I do a piece that requires me to use a magnifying glass, they tend to be slow going.  This is one of those pieces.  I am really enjoying it though and I am pleased with how it is turning out so far. On another note, I have been thrilled to discover that one of my life-long favorite artists,  Sheilah Becket is on FaceBook. She has posted a recent piece that she has completed as well as many of her past illustrations.  It is well worth a look.   Here is a dancing princess she did.  Perfection!

Psalm 5:3

I started this several weeks ago and I am planning to move it a little further along today.   Psalm 5:3 is one of my favorite ways to start the day.

Good Things Out Ahead

Looking forward to trying new things with the company of faithful friends.
