The Tail End Of Summer
This is the last week of summer vacation before my daughter Alice begins high school. It has been a truly wonderful summer, but I am sitting here wondering how it managed to evaporate so quickly. Thought I would add a few highlights and last drops of the whole thing...

completed "A Vision of Eden"
got a start on "One and Many"
my garden was simply wonderful
and in between there was refinishing a desk, summer school, sparklers and sidewalk chalk, smoothies, drawing, a little napping and some long walks.
While sitting here trying to piece it together I feel like I am forgetting something...that is part of summer too I guess!

Lots cookin'
I just finished another prayer box that I started months ago.
I finished a set of ten small drawings destined to head out into the world this week...
I have 10 more started...
and I am making good progress on "A Vision of Eden,"
I wish that I could paint in my sleep!

New Start
I was given a vision for what my next painting would be on Christmas Eve night. I was able to get started on it on January 12th. It is titled "A Vision of Eden, The Love that Surpasses Knowledge". I am really enjoying the process...I always do!

Sometimes it takes a while...
Sometimes it takes me a while to gather in all the loose ends I have hanging around. Posting has certainly been one of those that has been dangling since November. I blame it on the new cats. Our little house has still been creating though...messes, cookies, and all other sorts.
Alice has taken to baking beautiful things every Saturday afternoon. These shortbread
I have a new Thank You design started. She is on the back burner for now though...

Enjoyed a morning of quilling flowers...
and had a day in when it was snowing on the outside and warm and sweet on the inside.
I finally got around to refinishing these ceramic balloons that had been in my basement for years! They used to be a part of my sister's bedroom when we were little.
